Wedding Videos Shot on analogue or digital

What is so good about old fashioned 35mm photography and  Super 8 film?

Imperfection is perfection. The colours from analogue photography and Super 8 videography are something special, they have a soul, and a feeling which is unique to the medium. Analogue technology is awesome, full of character, with the occasional light leak, and the odd happy accident. When analogue is done well it is  a joy to experience. And most importantly can provide you with the coolest way to remember your day.

Why digital video and not analogue?

When I shoot wedding videos, I want them to convey the fun and the joy that you both felt on the day. Super 8 is amazing as medium to help convey these emotions. However shooting digitally allows me to use equipment which is modern, and therefore more reliable, as it's not 40 plus years old. It also lets me capture more footage than a 50foot reel of film restricts me to. Also, it allows me more control over the end product, as I don't have to send any film away to be developed and scanned. I do all the editing and colour grading in-house. It may not be the real thing that super 8 is, but its pretty close, and it gives that peace of mind that modern equipment offers over older 1970s/80s camera provide. The last film in this gallery was shot digitally but made to look like Super 8.

Two and a half months on and being able to relive the best day of my life through the gorgeous film Harley did for us still brings me to tears of happiness, and joy to my heart! Harley is such a kind soul and was extremely helpful on the wedding day and in the lead up to the wedding, meeting us at the venue a few weeks prior so he would be familiar with house and grounds. He did such an amazing job and the film and photos speak for themselves! I couldn't recommend Harley enough for whatever your needs might be to make your wedding day memories just PERFECT!

Seriously its the best thing we have from the wedding!!!!!
